PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS for kids:

  • Ready? Set…Read!
    This early literacy program is for ages 3-7. Activities include interactive story time, art projects, and educational games.

  • Seuss Saturday
    Early reading program features interactive storytelling by our favorite guest, “the Cat in the Hat.”

  • Family Motion
    Join us as we explore new and fun physical activities to strengthen our bodies and minds. A unique opportunity to have fun learning through movement alongside your child, building memories that last a lifetime.

  • Toddler Playgroup
    The Toddler Playgroup gives tiny tots a chance to learn, play and imagine! Participants enjoy facilitated activities such as story time, songs and sensory games, with time for caregivers to network and socialize.

  • Adventure Programs:
    • Playdate with an Artist Arts and culture, a chance for hand-on, multi-media fun!
    • World of Wonders (“W.o.W.”) Explore the wonders of the natural world through science-based discovery.
    • Healthy U Health and wellness, taking care of ourselves.

For the family:

  • First Friday
    Join us for the First Friday Gallery Walk featuring artwork created by a local school or community organization. Experience an evening of art appreciation, snacks, friends and fun. Admission is free from 5-8pm!

  • Family Reading Adventures
    This literacy program for families focuses on parent-child participation. During FRA, participants will journey through a popular children’s book by participating in story-time with a special guest from the story. Guest will engage in interactive games, art projects, and have opportunities for dramatic play. Dinner provided. This after-hours program at the Children’s Museum is offered quarterly and is free. Registration is required to participate. Space is limited. Call 541-PLAY for more information.

  • Farm Night
    Join us as we explore Garden City Harvest Community Farm (P.E.A.S. FARM.) Families learn appreciation of farm work and the taste of wholesome food. The Good Food Store will help provide a delicious organic meal. This popular event features a tour of the farm, activities for kiddos and entertainment for all. $5/Adults, Kiddos are FREE! Call 406.721.7690 to register so we have food for everyone.

  • Dad’s Night
    This popular evening at the Children’s Museum is for dads and the kids they adore! Entertainment, dinner and good old-fashioned play time provided. This after-hours program is free! Registration is required to participate. Space is limited. Call 406.541.PLAY to register.

  • Dads & Kids in the Woods
    Quality time with your kiddo(s) in the outdoors! This jaunt involves a short walk to a specified location, followed by activities to explore the natural history of the area. We will also include some time for families to explore and mingle on their own. Activities begin at 3pm and will wrap up around 5pm. Open to children from ages 4 to 9 years old. Locations TBA.
